The rock garden by the front porch is full of self-seeded flowers from last year! I’m sharing the #pansies from last year, because they’re already blooming, but I also spotted a bunch of baby snapdragons, a couple of whatsits (the name will probably come to me when they bloom), and just one marigold. I weeded out the undesirables and gave everything a good watering.

The space between the concrete part of the driveway and the curving concrete walkway is filled with the same color pea gravel - a questionable decision by the previous owners. But life found a way, and the rocks have a surprising variety of small pretty things growing in them now. Against the porch, there are two rows of planters, most of them occupied. A tiny Mexican style donkey planter stands in the center of the area.
The front corner of the gravel has a lot of life. There’s some short, slender, clumping grass, a weedy clover relative blooming small yellow balls, and some dark purple pansies.
