zomg, this is fantastic - from the Getty Open Content collection.

These illustrations were created in the 1500s by Joris Hoefnagel (Flemish, / Hungarian, 1542 - 1600) as guides on constructing the letters of the alphabet.

Happy #saturday! Got these beautiful #pilot parallel #caligraphy pens, and am rediscovering the calming effect of slow writing. Got my first caligraphy lessons in high school, because my handwriting was illegible. It started a life long journey into fine motor skill practise through writing, breath & voice, and drumming. Results over the years: learned to catch balls, stand on one leg, release muscle tension & sleep better. Not bad for a hobby
