While looking for new hardware for our home server (a 19'' mini rack server is very tempting...), I just came across project #minirack

10" rack server builds using a mix of off-the-shelf commercial and #diy #3dprinted mounts, panels, frontplates etc.

Looks interesting (and the mini racks are also rather cute).
Maybe interesting to some of you.

The PEEN-hole lens

“This lens has been ergonomically designed from the ground up to provide optimum performance and maximum rigidity. The shaft has a solid five-millimeter thickness for maximum structural support, and the patented bell-shaped tip has not only been hardened to provide optimum impact resistance but it also has a secondary function, which will be revealed a little later on.”

Printed out a vase with the color-change filament I bought earlier this week. The first one was in “vase mode” (single wall) so it didn’t use up enough filament to reach the color-change and was all a single color. Still pretty. Re-printed it with actual walls to make it sturdier and to use more filament so the color-change would show up. Very cool.

Filament: Cookiecad Silk PLA - Mermaid

Here's the next custom tool holder for my pegboard. It holds a Bosch PS20 mini drill oriented to grab and go.

I'm happy with the color scheme I picked. Less happy with the shape scheme -- the angular chunks that worked well for the wrenches are too blocky.

Well, my first test of the #3dPrinted RC fan boat I recently built was hilariously anticlimactic… I built it largely to play in the snow, but the new snow this morning is too wet and sticky. I barely got it moving even after a little nudge and steering was out of the question. Oh well, I’ll just have to wait for better conditions. 🤷‍♂️

Not my design, but you can find the model here: printables.com/model/551978-gl
