@ai6yr That's for the mainland. Jan Mayen is on the same fault as Iceland and similarly active.

The island has its own postcode but delivery in winter is unreliable. The landing strip is long, but landing is by visual only.

There are polar bears and they are genetically distinct from polar bears in other parts of the Arctic.
