My assumption is that #Jekyll is slower than most Node.js equivalents for large number of templates and markdown files.

Does anyone have any benchmarks or proof?

#Hugo is faster than most #NodeJS equivalents I believe - but has anybody seen good comparisons with #Jekyll?
